How to log your steps in HeiaHeia

Find out in this article about the different ways you can bring your steps to HeiaHeia.

There are several ways to sync your steps to HeiaHeia. When you log your steps using one of the methods below, your daily step count will be included in your community step challenge.

  1. Connect your wearable HH Profile wearables ENdevice (Garmin, Polar, Fitbit, Suunto app) directly to HeiaHeia
    and allow step data to be imported. This way your daily steps will be automatically imported into HeiaHeia. For instructions on how to connect, click here.  

  2. Use HeiaHeia’s built-in step counter
    HeiaHeia reads steps directly from your phone; you don’t need any other apps or devices. Instructions for connecting:
    - Import steps from an Android phone using these instructions
    - Import steps from an iPhone using these instructions
  3. Import steps from other devices
    Connect your phone’s health app to HeiaHeia and you can import step data also from apps / wearables other than those directly supported.

  4. Log your steps manually in HeiaHeia Add steps manually EN
    In the app, tap on the blue PLUS sign -> 
    Add steps manually. Enter your steps in the Add steps field and you will see the total number of steps below.
    You can also change the date if necessary.

    In the browser version: click on the red plus-icon -> Steps. All your logged steps are added to the daily total. 



                                  



You can view your steps in the My Wellbeing page on 4th tab of the app. Scroll down and ppen Steps and sleep.  In the browser, steps are shown in the training log.

Daily steps and sleep ENHere you can also edit the number of steps if necessary, for example if you made a typing error when entering the steps.

After logging steps, you don’t need to add anything else, but you can record other activities to better track your progress—and in some challenges, earn bonus points.

 

⚠️ Don’t connect both your wearable and your phone’s health app to HeiaHeia, as this may cause duplicate entries.
