      Creating your own micro actions for the community

      Find out how you can create your own micro actions with customised points for your community.

      As HeiaHeia admin you can create custom micro actions for your community: 

      •  Log in to the browser version of HeiaHeia -> Admin tools -> Micro actions -> Create micro actions for your community.

      1. Start by giving your micro action a title in English. This is a mandatory text field (default language).
      2. If you wish, add a clarifying description of the micro action in English. 
      3. Determine the points awarded for the micro action.
      4. Select an icon for the micro action.
      5. If you wish to create different language versions of the micro action: Select language in the dropdown menu and create language versions by entering title and description.
      6. Note! Click on  the "Create" button after all language versions are ready.
      7. The micro action will be saved and visible in the Community's own micro action list.

      You can manage your community's own micro actions in the same way as predefined ones, by turning them on/off. Micro action that are turned ON, will be visible for the community members and these can be logged under the Plus menu button -> micro actions. 

       

      Default language

      The default language of HeiaHeia is English, which is used in addition to the English version when no other language version is available. For example, if you create a micro action in English and Finnish, but not in Swedish at all, a Swedish-speaking user of HeiaHeia will see the micro action in the default language, English. 

      In the admin tools, you will see the micro action in the language you use as the language in HeiaHeia.

       

      Editing your own micro action

      It is possible to edit your micro action afterwards. 

      1. Scroll down to Your community's own micro actions
      2. Pick the  micro action on the list and click on the blue arrow icon.
      3. Edit the micro action (in all the language versions) and click Update. 

       

      Disable all micro actions

      This will switch OFF all micro actions in the community at once, including those you have created yourself. It does not delete the micro actions completely, but by using this function you do not have to click on them one by one to turn them off.

      Once created, you cannot permanently delete a micro actions. If you accidentally created the wrong micro action, check that they are not turned on in the community. If you do this, the micro action will not be visible to anyone but the admin.
