Connecting Strava with HeiaHeia

By connecting Strava with HeiaHeia, your workouts and other activity data will be automatically transferred to our service. Check out our article to learn how to link Strava with HeiaHeia on your iPhone or Android device.

iOS devices:

You can sync Strava data to HeiaHeia through the Apple Health app. First connect Strava to the Health app, and then connect the Health app to HeiaHeia.

1. Connecting Strava with the Apple Health app

  • Open Strava and go to Settings from the top right corner of the You tab. 
    Select Manage Apps & Devices > Health, then tap the plus icon.
  • On the next page, tap Connect.
  • You will be taken to the Health Access screen, where you can allow data sharing between Strava and the Health app. You can choose which data types Strava is allowed to write to Health. Please note that Workouts must be enabled for any data (cycling, running, calories, etc.) to sync.
    • After the initial setup, you can adjust Strava’s permissions in the Health app under Sources > Strava.
  • Start the synching: Go to Settings > Manage Apps & Devices > Health and turn on Send to Health. Strava will then automatically send information such as route data, activity type, distance, time, and calories to the Health app.
    • Please note that route data synced from third-party apps to Strava will not sync to the Health app.

2. Now you can connect Apple Health with HeiaHeia.

 

Android devices:

Strava can be connected to HeiaHeia through the Google Fit app. First connect Strava to Google Fit, and then connect Google Fit to HeiaHeia.

Make sure Google Fit is installed on your phone and that you are signed in with the Google account you want to use with Google Fit. If needed, you can download Google Fit from the Google Play Store.

1. Connecting Strava and Google Fit

  • Open the Strava app.

  • Go to Settings > Manage Apps & Devices > Google Fit.

  • Follow the instructions on how to connect your Strava account to Google Fit.

You can check whether the connection was successful by opening the Google Fit app and navigating to: Profile > Settings > Manage apps & devices. Strava should appear in the list of connected apps.

2. Now you can connect Google Fit with HeiaHeia.
