HeiaHeia Challenges
Employers or organisations often organise challenges or campaigns in their HeiaHeia community. Taking part is a great possibility for you to start paying more attention to your own wellbeing and activity as well as improving the wellbeing and team spirit of your community. To participate in the campaign, you need to be a member of the community.
There are lots of different challenges, here some examples:
- An individual challenge: The aim is to challenge yourself, for example, by collecting xx number of different sport activities or wellbeing actions in a given period of time. Exceeding oneself is the best reward!
- A community challenge: All participants work for a common goal. For example, collecting steps and walking together around the world or collecting together xx wellbeing points.
- Team races: Teams are competing against one another for example in number of different wellness activities or steps.
There may be several challenges or campaigns of varying duration running at the same time.
Very often your employee or organisation rewards the community members for their activity or makes a donation to charity based on the challenge result.

Taking part in the challenge and adjusting your visibility
Pic 4. Scrolling down the Challenge details page will bring up a list of Top contributors. Participating in challenges and being included on the list is turned on as a default setting. If you don't change this setting, you will automatically take part in challenges, lists, reporting and possible rewarding.
However, it is always your decision whether you want to participate in challenges and campaigns on individual level. If you don't want to share your individual achievements, your activities are still counted anonymously in common / team result.
If you do not want to participate, be included on the list of contributors and in reporting or get rewarded, please do the following:
- Tap on Adjust your visibility and turn off the slider I participate in challenge participant lists and reporting.
- Under Read more, you can find out more about your privacy, see number 5.
You can also adjust your visibility and participation in your account settings:
Open your account profile (top right corner) -> Settings -> Scroll down to Privacy and select Participant lists and reporting -> turn off (pic 5).
